Save Harrow Skate Park!

It is under stood that Harrow Skate Park is to be bull dozed to build houses on but since 1976 this has been part of the history & heritage of Roller Skating, Skateboarding and BMX biking not only in Harrow but also internationally. This is a one of a kind skate park, the likes that can't be seen anymore, anywhere. It is one of only a hand full of 1970's Skate Parks left in this country, remaining. This is part of extreme sports history and should be saved from being filled in. We would like it refurbished for future generations to use. This is a genuine one off facility and fantastic for Harrow council, London and England and that can't be re-built. It has a great aura and atmosphere that can’t be made anywhere else. It keeps the young and old off the streets and is a great recreation space for all, participants and viewers. Harrow Skate Park is a genuine historical park and NEEDS to be preserved for the future generation.

Harrow council are planning to demolish the skate park. If you will, please to take 2 minutes to help save one of the oldest skate parks in the UK and sign this petition.

My three young children use this park regularly - it is a safe environment for them to use and I am not happy that once again it is the children who are persecuted-soley for the council's monetary gain

This is an amazing skate park, used to love riding here. would be such a shame to loose it. And i mean what harm is it doing anyway?

The Labour Councillors from Harrow are having a public meeting on 17th February at 3pm in the Harrow Leisure Centre. They are starting a campaign to save Harrows Leisure Facilities, incuding the skate park. Skaters support is needed so please try to come, or contact Labour Councillor Tony Mcnulty and he should be able to keep you updated.

Good luck,I hope things work out.
